Stone Soup Studios is now seeking entires for several DVD Short Anthologies. These anthologies will be commercially distributed, providing massive exposure for the filmmakers involved.
There is pay.
Each short will recieve a small percentage of the profits in exchange for Stone Soup's ownership and distribution of the film.
The Anthology collections will be listed in this post by general theme. These themes are merely guidelines, if you have a short that you aren't sure about, send it anyway.
Anthologies:
1. Swords & Sorcery: Films ranging from sword swinging barbarians, dueling wizards, knights, romans, vikings, or any other action/adventure fantasy films.
2. Weird West: Films about the wild west that incorporate supernatural or horror elements like evil spirits, ancient curses, undead gunslingers, or strange beasts.
3. Urban Fantasy: Films about street shamans, urban spirituality, modern witchcraft, the fey, city magick, or any similiar subject. Family or children's films of this sort are welcome, if we get enough submissions we will just to a kid's version and a mature version.
4. Experimental Reality: Film submissions for this catagorey are difficult to define, so send anything you have that could possibly fit the theme. Films in this anthology could range from action like The Matrix, to the surreal like the Machinist, to the macabre like Lost Highway.
In order to submit your film, please email us. We will then send you a content release & submission form. Sign and mail it in along with your film submission. Be sure to let us know which anthology you are submitting for. We will give special attention to films that are 30 minutes, 45 minutes, and 15 minutes in length, though welcome short films of any length.
This Call for Entires will be held open until we have the slots for each anthology filled. Though try to get your submissions in to us no later than 10/17/05.
