DSLR MUSIC VIDEO SOUTH WEST

MC Yo Wassup - Turned Me Into Gangsta
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kazty8GWNiI

I shot this video over two days in Southern Arizona with local rapper MC Yo Wassup. I used a Canon 60D and a Canon t3i with a Canon EF 50mm prime lens and a Canon EF-S 18-200mm telephoto lens. I used a PC running Sony Vegas 12 as well as After Effects CS6. Stock footage also utilized from "Action Essentials" like bullet hitting couch and some of the blood spray effects. Any thoughts would be much appretiated thanks for your time.

 This was hard to watch...

What picture style did you shoot this in?

Your shots don't appear to be color graded....were they?

The white lens flares were over-whelming

A couple of shots were over-exposed

The shots with the rapper and the black background looked very green, what kind of light did you use?

Next time add a back light for the subject so they don't blend in with the black

The blood splatter looked tacky

It was overall an awkward watching experience for me

It had potential it just needs a lot of work

Not trying to bash your video just giving my honest critique

Hello new dude

Lots of underexposed and overexposed shots.
Cheesy blood splatter.
Didn't feel very "gangsta". Very hard to take seriously.
Some shots dragged on way too long.
Too many jump cuts and lens flares
In many shots, there is not enough or too much headroom.
