DSLR/HDSLR Cradle Rig

Hi all. I'm a documentary filmmaker and I just started selling a rig I designed originally for
myself. Other filmmakers started asking me to sell them, so now I'm doing that and I'm
excited about it. :) The SquareShot is intended for run-n-gun shooting when you need something
light, strong, portable, and capable of mounting the basics (lights, mics, monitors, etc.). I put
alot of thought into the handle design, too. It has rounded corners and gel-padded tape, extremely
comfortable. The rig is simple, affordable, and efficient. But it's not for people who want or need
rails and matte boxes.

I have videos and photos on my site, and I'd love to answer any questions or get feedback in
general. There are tons of rigs out there, and I think the SquareShot has alot to offer. There's
also the SquareShot mini which I made for POV and helmet cams.

My site is www.openlensproductions.com/squareshot.html

Thanks!

I'd like to suggest you put more info on your site. Construction materials, weight, specs etc. Can't really tell much about it -- and it looks like there are only two places to put accessories -- if that's true, that defeats the purpose of a cage.

Thanks for taking a look, and for the feedback. On the site each model has its own page with detailed descriptions of the given specs (materials, weight, number of shoe-mounts, number of additional holes). The larger model has four places to put accessories. It's rig intended for documentary style hand-held shooting, so one wouldn't want it overloaded with accessories as that would make your rig heavy. The SquareShot is more cradle than cage: it supports the camera, and its wide-set handles dramatically reduce camera-shake. But I gather from your post that it's not obvious how to navigate to the model-specific pages on my site and I'm going to change that. Thanks.

Thanks again for taking a look at my gizmo. I've made some slight modifications: more mounting holes and (as of today) dramatically lower prices. My goal is to offer a great rig at a price most people can afford.

Cheers. www.thesquareshot.com
