Hey all -
Just finished shooting my first piece with the Nikon D7000, and the footage turned out far better than I expected. However, I'm having some trouble getting the quality of this footage over to Final Cut Express...
My first attempt was taking the footage directly from the SD card and importing to FCE. In Final Cut, the footage was drastically pixelated. So, I tried running the footage through iMovie, by throwing it in the timeline and then exporting as a Quicktime (with full quality). After trying different conversions, the footage in FCE was either pixelated or the ratio was lost completely.
Some specs:
Shoots 1080, 24p (NTSC)
Format/compression: H.264 / MPEG-4 / MOV
Does anybody have experience that could help me out? I love the footage, and I don't want to loose any of its quality in post.
