cult movie inspiration?

for me, when i'm stuck for a new idea, i watch flicks from cultures i'm unfamiliar with ... cult movies in their own countries -> Wild Zero and Tetsuo from Japan, as well as Dil Se from Bollywood.

anyone else watch/dabble in foriegn cultures for ideas?
 
David -- I could chat for hours with you on this subject. I'll think back on what I've seen and post some suggestions later...
 
cool. love to hear about other folks' inspiration .... i'm watching Wild Zero at the moment ... the totally bizarre story line gives me endless ideas.

Are you familiar with TLA Video? They are based in Philadelphia and have a great selection of indie/cult/foreign movies. If you are looking for ideas of things to rent/buy/watch/whatever...check out their link, go the "Danger After Dark" section and start browsing. Each movie has a section at the bottom for ..."If you like this movie, try these also...!" You can spend hours getting great ideas. I'll be back another time with my own suggestions (if I can think of any)
