Class project - bad idea? How do I make this interesting?

For a Media Production class, one of the options for the "major video project" is a music video. What I'm thinking of doing is a video from my point of view, walking around the park with various interesting shots timed to the music. This will probably be the rough location and this will probably be the music the video is set to.

Any ideas on how to make the video interesting, or is the whole concept a bad idea?

a music video on the park of you walking..........
its overdone... and never succesfull.... all there is is a bunch of green, and benches. if you do it at night, you could get a little creative with lighting. a park probably stands out more at night for video.

A - Under the heading of "major video project" what other options, besides music video, are available?
B - Music videos typically have a two-story mix, about 60-70/40-30, between the song story and the performers.
Without performers you'll be best served by finding and analyzing multiple examples of music videos with nothing but visuals.
What you're essentially suggesting above is a series of shots with a musical background which really isn't a music video at all.
C - I'm going to take a wild guess that your Media Production class is in high school, and it's VERY likely no one is going to give two flying figs about what song or music you use, even if it's almost certainly copyrighted as the The Morning Benders - Promises example you've linked surely is.

Screwwit.

Learn to do the right thing (might get extra points for doing it right) and pick some public domain music to set as your background for your visual montage. (It isn't a music video!)
