B brunerww Dec 5, 2013 #2 RJB - The Monfrotto 293 telephoto lens support for $64.50 is probably the best option if you don't want to build a rig. If your lens is short enough, you may be able to get away with a $30 Opteka block and a $31 lens support, but for longer lenses, you'll need a longer set of rods for $20 or so.
