The 2005 Louis Vuitton Hawaii International Film Festival will be held October 20-30, 2005 at the Dole Cannery Stadium 18 Theatres in Honolulu on Oahu and at venues across the Hawaiian Archipelago; including Maui, Kauai and the Big Island!
25TH ANNIVERSARY
We're marking the festival's 25th anniversary with a retrospective of seminal films from HIFF's past, a tribute to a major Japanese film studio, Roger Ebert's famed DEMOCRACY IN THE DARK seminar, outdoor film screenings on Waikiki Beach and a special focus on a famous martial arts actor!
We are also launching a Student Showcase, focusing on the works of filmmakers under 18 years from Hawaii, the U.S. and around the world.
CALL FOR ENTRIES
We encourage filmmakers to submit works from all genres. We are especially interested in feature films, documentaries, short films, Hawaii-themed films, music videos and student films.
There are no entry fees for student filmmakers under 18 or for Hawai'i residents.
Early Submission Deadline: June 26
Late Submission Deadline: July 18
Final Deadline: July 25 (via Withoutabox.com only)
