canon hf10 - anyone own?

It seems this camera is decent however I am looking at a youtube video of it where a user states that it is very difficult to edit. It requires a specifc editing system that not all computors can handle.
Does anyone own this? Do you find it difficult to edit or is there a camera similiar to this one that does not have an editing issue?
