lately, i've been looking into getting a high-end camera, such as the Canon XH A1S. can someone make a recommendation within the $4,000-6,000 price range?

I haven't used one, but I've been looking into the Sony NEX-FS100. Another option in that price range that I think others here have used is the Panasonic AF100. Those two are at the top of my list for possible rentals for my next project.

What are you doing about audio? Are you going to hire someone? Do you have your own audio kit?

Poor audio kills more projects than any other technical factor.

yeah, my brother is an audio engineer so he's going to use a shotgun mike to record everything to his mac and then we're going to lay it all down during editing.
