Submission Deadline
Submissions will be accepted from 9 March 2005. The early deadline is
1 June 2005. The final deadline is 1 July 2005.
Submission Format
Films must be submitted on DVD or VHS only. The title, screening format
and running time must be clearly labelled on the cover. Submitted copies
will not be returned but may be collected from Raindance during office
hours from 17 October to 4 November 2004. After this date, all uncollected
submissions will be recycled.
Submission Eligibility
– All submissions must have been completed after 1 September 2004.
– Films must not have been released in the UK on any format.
– Submission packages must include a preview copy, a completed
13th Raindance Festival Submission Form, the correct submission fee
and a Press Kit containing a 200 word synopsis, full cast and crew
credits, a director’s biography and a CD with a director’s photograph
and two production stills.
– All films in a language other than English must be subtitled in English.
– Exploitation and pornography genres are not eligible.
Submission Fee
For submissions postmarked on or before the early deadline the fees are
£15 for shorts up to 15 minutes plus £1for each extra minute and £50 for
features. For submissions postmarked after the early deadline and on or
before the final deadline the fees are £20 for shorts up to 15 minutes plus
£1 for each extra minute and £75 for features. The submission fee is not
refundable. Payment must be made in Pounds Sterling. Raindance is
unable to accept payment in any other currency. Submission fees must
be paid by cheque from a UK bank, international money order, Pounds
Sterling travellers cheques or by VISA, Mastercard or Switch. Please
make cheques payable to ‘Raindance Film Festival Limited’. Please note
that for submissions for Raindance Kids, films made by children under the
age of 18 may be submitted without charge.
