The Spiritual Cinema Circle Actively Seeking Short, Feature, and Documentary Film Submissions:
Growing Demand Sparks International Search

The Spiritual Cinema Circle, fast becoming the premier distributor of spiritual cinema recently announced it will license 40 – 45 films per year, with the endorsement and support of some of some of the most important and influential spiritual thinkers on the planet today. The Circle actively seeks shorts, features, and documentary film submissions for its subscription-based DVD home-delivery service.

Circle distribution guarantees attention for filmmakers working and thinking outside of mainstream Hollywood. Writer, director, and editor Geno Andrews sold his short film JILLIAN’S VANTAGE to The Circle in its first month of operation. Shortly thereafter, Andrews pooled his capital to write and direct THE VISITS with an exclusive, first-run distribution deal with The Circle. Black Filmmaker Hall of Fame student winner Stephanie Jones sold her short film, GABRIELLE, to The Circle and is now in talks with ABC-TV to develop a feature-length version of the film.

Through subscription-based distribution, The Circle reaches over 9,000 viewers in 58 countries every month and boasts the unique benefit of reaching the exact sort of audience its films were made for. Niche marketing to the 60 million Americans who consider themselves “spiritual” but not “religious,” The Circle’s subscription base continues to expand daily.

Recognized within the industry as a niche “Netflix-style” monthly film club, The Circle acquires heartwarming, inspiring, uplifting films with a plum deal for filmmakers who receive cash on signing but are still free to pursue mass distribution. The Circle asks for non-exclusive rights for home entertainment/DVD sales and only uses the rights necessary to get films to Circle subscribers.

Films chosen as an official selection of The Spiritual Cinema Circle are incorporated into a monthly package and mailed to Circle members for one month. DVDs become theirs to keep. After this month-long run, films are available for purchase on The Circle’s e-store, which offers additional revenue for filmmakers. Traditionally, 3 – 5 films, ranging from animated shorts to full-length features, are selected each month for distribution and arrive in a colorful DVD sleeve with Spiritual Cinema Circle artwork on the packaging.

With the celebrity endorsements of major spiritual thinkers like best selling author and renowned life coach Cheryl Richardson along with best selling Conversations with God author Neale Donald Walsch, Circle films are promoted within like-minded communities and has an opt-in base of 30,000+ people per month.

Happy with his Circle experience, Andrews encourages any filmmaker, whose stories stir the heart and soul of the human condition, to “look no further than The Spiritual Cinema Circle as a means of putting their art into the hands of the people who really get it." Says writer, director, editor Andrews: "The Circle has put my films directly into the hands of thousands of people from 58 countries around the world. I don't know of any other independent distribution company who can claim that about their short films. Plus, in addition to giving the filmmakers an upfront signing fee, (money talks!) The Circle's NON EXCLUSIVE contract is more than fair to filmmakers who may get other offers down the road. I receive e-mails from people all over the world thanking me (and The Circle) for making my stories available to them in such a unique way.”

There is no submission fee to submit a film for the consideration of The Spiritual Cinema Circle. Submission information can be found online at www.spiritualcinemacircle.com
