Since its creation in 2001, the Cristal Festival gathers the professionals of the advertising and creative world: the main agencies, advertisers, producers, directors, Media, market research companies, journalists, TV producers ... in a convivial atmosphere for networking and knowledge sharing.
The Young Directors Forum is a short films competition (10 min maximum) created in order to promote new talents.
It will take place during the Cristal Festival, from 12th to 16th of December 2012 in Crans-Montana (Switzerland).
CONCEPT
8 winners selected by a jury made of professionals will be invited to the Cristal Festival in Crans-Montana (Switzerland) to present their films to advertising producers and agencies participating in the Cristal Festival.
A jury of producers in the advertising industry (members of the Cristal Academy) will attend the screening of the 8 winning films and will elect the best short-film. The winning director will be given the Short-Film Cristal during the closing awards ceremony of the event and his/her film will be broadcasted to the professionals attending the ceremony.
PATRON
Every year, a director (Bryan Buckley in 2010 (director of most of 400 ads during the Super Bowl between 2001 and 2010), Laurent Tirard in 2009, Gerard Pirès in 2008) is the patron of the contest.
