sound Boom Mic Help

I have a Rode NTG-2, and I am shooting a short film in 5 days. I am checking all the equipment and I was wondering what I should record the audio to? My Camera? or my computer? This camera would be seperate than the one shooting the film to.

Any particular reason you're not recording it on the camera shooting the footage?

How are you monitoring the boom?

You should be recording to the "A" camera or a separate audio recording system.

Camera "A" does not have an mic jack. I am borrowing my older brother's dslr. I do not have a separate audio recording system. I have a Canon HF100, which I could use to record the audio to.
