Bolex lens--Standard and RX on Non-reflex and reflex cameras

I just learned that the Bolex non-reflex and new reflex (RX) lens cannot be used on the old standard H16 non-reflex cameras and new reflex RX cameras without some F-stop rules. One person told me I could use the new RX lens on my old cameras, but I could not go "above" f4. When he says "above" does he mean 3.5, 2. 1.5F or does he mean the other way down to F16, F22 etc.? And, what are the rules about using the old non-reflex lens on the RX models and vice versa? It's all terribly confusing. Thanks, Wild Bill.

I've never heard the Fstp rules you speak of,but I do know that a Rex cameras have to allow for that prism, therefore the focal point is different.Rex lenses are calibrated for that.I was always told that anything below 50mm will be soft if you try to use a non rex lens on a rex camera or the other way around.
