editing Blurring out faces

My friend asked if I could film her students putting together care packages that are to be given to veterans/homeless people for a program that the school is doing. The kids were given waivers that were signed by their parents asking if their image can be shown on screen. I figured that blurring out faces was the best way to get around this without having to avoid faces completely.

What's the best way to blur out faces, what kind of blur should be used, and how much does the face need to be blurred?

I was actually trying that in AE just now haha. I just haven't quite figured out which blur would be best between fast, channel, camera, gaussian, and etc. without it being too distracting.
