BLUE COLLAR BOYS- Winner Best Indie Toronto 2011

Blue Collar Boys had it's international premiere at the Toronto Independent Film Festival where is won Best Micro-Budget Picture.

"This is a very timely film. The frustration and the struggle most Americans are experiencing today and the way you chose an "American corner" so to speak to address it is not just REAL and CURRENT, but it is also educational and heartbreaking. Under the tough shell of these characters, I saw good people who just need a break in life and are actually willing to put in the time and work." -Brave New Hollywood

Blue Collar Boys was inspired by true events and the screenplay is a collage of real life experiences from the family, friends and co-workers of the writer/director, Mark Nistico. The story is centered around Charlie Redkin (Red) a 27 year-old construction worker set on self improvement, as he struggles to provide for his family during their economic strife. Motivated by their financial hardship, Red and his lifelong friends fall into a lifestyle of hatred and thirst for revenge. Together, they are faced with a dilemma that will test their morals, faith, and ultimately their loyalties to each other. In a world that refuses to let the working man thrive, they want a better way.
