Blend That Film - Visual Effects Using Free Software

Hi there,

For those of you who are just starting out and maybe can't afford to buy the likes of After Effects you might find my show useful. My aim is to teach you how to use the Free 3D /2D Software Blender as a compositor to create special effects for your films. The show is almost entirely produced using Blender.

Been trying to learn Blender since 2.4....the user interface was awful. 2.5 is when the reworked UI became better, more like commercial programs where commercial companies took the time to research how 'real people' or 'artist' use software (Adobe example).

Right now, 2.61 has MOTION TRACKING!!! MOTION CAPTURE!!!

I'm excite to get back into learning Blender since it is so compelling!

This is great! I had no idea Blender could do this kind of stuff! I've briefly used it for 3D modelling (which I was terrible at), but this gives me another good reason to play around with it. Thanks!

P.S. Whereabouts in Worcestershire are you Tom? We could be neighbours!
