Black Friday Camera Shopping Help Needed

I'm looking into buying a super cheap decent camera on Black Friday. My knowledge on cameras are extremely low, so I would appreciate any help or opinions. My budget is looking to be $250 at most (sad I know).

(Planning to use a separate audio source)

Nikon COOLPIX S9200 1

Canon HF-R300

SONY HDR-CX190/B

Sony HDR-CX210

Sony - DCR-SX85/B

I'm filming my first short in January. Again, any help is seriously appreciated.

I suggest Amazon Warehouse Deals. You can get a Sony HX20V for $269, which will give you better still and 1080/60p video images than any of these low-end camcorders. With some practice, you can produce video like this with the HX20V: http://vimeo.com/47250882

For about the same price, you can get a used Nikon 1 J1 from Amazon. This is an interchangeable lens camera with a 1" sensor. A 10-30mm Nikon lens is included. It is capable of producing video like this: http://vimeo.com/33993118

But if $269 is too far above your budget, you may want to look at a $202 Panasonic ZS20. It produces 1080/60p video like this: http://vimeo.com/41517161.

Welcome to the world of digital filmmaking!

Hope this is helpful,

Bill
