Best Focal Length for Footchase

I'm going to have a golf cart driving around my camera guy..

What focal length lens should I rent?
Renting a sony a7sii for the low light capability.

I'm thinking wide angle so there is less shaking and less noticeable camera movement.
Something around 14-24mm ? IDK though I haven't actually filmed a foot chase.

I'm not a huge camera person...

but I'd suggest the 24 most likely. It's wide enough to the point you might not end up getting any of the a7sii's rolling shutter if you frame it right.

I find 14 just silly...

I'm not a camera person and this stuff isn't an area of strength for me and the last time I shot a foot chase was way back in film school. That being said, it'll depend on the situation at hand and what effect you're trying to achieve.

Example: A longer lens can help compress space giving the subjects a feeling of being closer though head on, it can make the subjects appear to be moving slower compared to their background, but faster on profile shots against particular backgrounds.
