Back from IndieMeet, a thanks 2 Scoopicman!

Just back from IndieMeet in Las Vegas. Was there for Friday night and all day Saturday. Thank you Scoopicman. Met so many really cool film-makers from Las Vegas area (& a few from west coast). Learned a lot. Laughed even more.

I was disappointed that I did not meet more residents of IndieTalk. Although T'phish was there!

'Twas a long drive back to Ohio (70, 9 & 15) with some camping in Zion & Arches (was so hot). Oh how I wish I had a EOS C300 for all the footage shot while hiking (had to use my old DVcam) in the out-of-the-way back trails. Still, shot hours of fantastic footage for later use. Also shot several promos & presentations for several organizations in Denver afterwards, mostly BOSS Readers (BOSS Readers is to 3rd - 6th grade reading instruction what Rosetta Stone is to foreign language). Looks like new revenue is coming in (fingers crossed). Now to the editing & distribution (be up on Internet for later viewing if there is any interest).

Gotta give a special Thank You to Sccopicman, Sheila, their family and friends.

If you have not done the pilgrimage to IndieMeet in Las Vegas you should (once-again, was surprised there were so few from IndieTalk.com there). 'Twas fun. Really nice, friendly people. Very artistic group. Film-freak-big-egos were nonexistent (or maybe left at the front door). Very cool group of film artists... liked everyone I met.

Drove a hybrid there & back, even though gas was still a killer -- expensive but worth it...

That sums it up - a very supportive group of people. That has become the nature of the event.

I think you missed this video that I posted. It includes this year's pyro, as well as 2010, when Zensteve and Jeff (Flicker Pictures) was there. T0iletphish is in the video, too - the dark haired Billy Zane guy at the end. He hates it when I say that, but I mean it as a compliment.

Now that "The Hot Rod" is in the can, I can pick "The Long Road Out Of Town" up again.

I really did want to show LONG ROAD OUT OF TOWN. I was going to ask you for a download of it, but I figured you had a ways to go on it.


IndieMeet Friday menu: chicken/ potatoes/gravy, sausage/peppers/red sauce, Butterbeans/roasted shallots/brown rice, Deviled eggs, Fruit, Asian broccoli, tomato/mozzarela salad, cookies, pies, cobbler, etc.
