The Austin Film Festival has extended the Screenplay Competition postmarked deadline to June 1, 2005. Screenplays can be submitted into either the Adult/Family or Comedy category. You may then also choose to be considered for the NEW Burnt Orange or
Sci-Fi awards.
The AFF and Burnt Orange Productions are searching for the best low budget screenplay that could be FILMED in Texas (does not have to be set in Texas). Burnt Orange
(www.burntorangeproductions.com) will consider the winning script for production.
The Sci-Fi Award will be looking for the best script containing one of the following elements: fantasy, magic realism, horror, surrealism, science fiction, myth/legend and/or fantastical storytelling. Joe Bob Briggs (http://www.joebobbriggs.com) will participate as a Finalist judge for this award.
