i JUST ordered the rode ntg 2 from bh along with the shockmount
i will eventually get a boom and have somebody else operate the mic, but for now i need it attached to the rig. the problem i just realized is that the shockmount will not be able to fit on top of the camera. so i may have wasted my money purchasing it which would be fine since i can return it but now i need to figure out what kind of attachment i need to get this mic onto my rig. i HAD to rush the order because i need it to arrive by tuesday so i didnt get to do too much research other than the major components.
thats pretty much almost what i have, as you can see there is no room for the mic with shockmount attached to the hot plate
how can i get the mic on the rails of the rig? would i use the same shockmount or should i return the shockmount?
i need something like this, but his mic is different
