Anybody with Experience in renting film-locations in Los Angeles?

Thanks for any help.

I'm starting pre-production for a little side-project this year. Just a mock-trailer for a fictitious action film. My question is what is the best way to secure a filming location? I've found locations on sites like AllPicturesMedia.com such as this one... Aero Graveyard.

How much do you think this will cost for just one day? My budget is next to nothing also. Here is an old action short film I did to give you an idea of the scope. Arma Perfecta.

Basically 5 to 6 people crews. DSLR and maybe a car. Fake guns obviously.

Anybody who has any experience I'd love some insight. Thanks!

The best way to secure a filming location is that you should at least visit the location personally and see the environment it is located. Check the security, availability, neighborhood, accessibility, and see to it that the filming location fits your film genre. Some house film locations have those complete film-friendly features that suits any movies. For example is the http://5401olympic.com where there is a complete settings for any of your film especially the security of the place.

About the cost of the location, it depends not only to what the owner offers but also, it depends on the property you are renting. if you'll be using all their equipment and the property, it will cost high but if you'll only be using a room or one side of the location, it will only cost low.

Hope it helps!
