The Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition deadline is quickly approaching.
Postmarked deadline is May 16, 2005
Entry fee: $40
All entries must be submitted into either the Adult/Family category (Drama, Sci-Fi, Horror, Historical, Western, Children’s, Animation, Thriller, etc..) or Comedy category (Slap-stick, Romantic, Dark, etc..).
You may also choose to have your script considered for two NEW additional awards.
Burnt Orange Award: The Austin Film Festival and Burnt Orange Productions (www.burntorangeproductions.com) are searching for the best low budget script to be FILMED in Texas (does not have to be set in Texas). The winning script will receive a cash prize, as well as consideration for production by Burnt Orange Productions.
Sci-Fi award: The Austin Film Festival will award the best Sci-Fi script. We define sci-fi as the following: fantasy, magic realism, horror, science fiction, surrealism, myth/legend and fantastical storytelling. The winner will receive a cash prize.
