For an upcoming short film I foresee myself having to most likely do some type of ADR at some point or another, so i thought I'd get this question answered now.
For example, if I'm shooting someone walking on the side of a road, lets say i decide to have the camera outside of a passenger side window and drive by the person as I'm filming them, if i record the sound there it will pick up the car, the wind which i don't want as i would be trying to portray this as a dolly shot or something of the sort, but using a car to get the shot would be easier(this is just an example no idea if i plan to use a car). How would i record ADR for the normal background noise you'd hear when someone is walking such as footsteps, nature, what not.
