There's nothing wrong with that. Comedy is an acquired taste that appeals to a base. It's all about what revenue is possible, not art.

Harold and Kumar are the only stoner comedies I actually laughed at. Everytime I see one like The Pineapple Express, I just scratch my head, and don't know why others think it's funny.
I enjoyed it. I'll give it a "B-". And I wasn't even stoned when I watched it.
Most, if not all, of this was shot in Detroit during our brief stint as the "Cheapest Place In North America To Shoot." During the shoot it was as if everyone I ran into and their brother was involved. Wife's cousin was the housing coordinator and shared some damn funny stories about the cast, who was a diva, etc. A few of the musicians that are customers at my store were extras during a part scene. Can't wait to see it and see if I recognize anyone.
I'm ashamed to admit it but I did enjoy the first one. And I think I've seen about half of their Gitmo flick.
Why would you be ashamed by that?! The first one is hilarious. The Gitmo one was horrible. The Christmas one ain't so bad.
