April Showers
Written and directed by Columbine survivor Andrew Robinson, this film is based on actual events.
Set in a small American town, “April Showers” follows the lives of a handful of students and teachers as they try and put their lives back together after the massacre. Kelly Blatz leads the stellar cast as Sean, a student who survives the shooting but deeply mourns the death of his friend April (Ellen Woglom). Illeana Douglas and Tom Arnold also star as teachers who try and piece together some meaning out of a tragedy they themselves can’t explain, as media frenzy reaches a fever pitch and the survivors turn to each other for support and understanding.
“I wanted to shed light on topics and themes that seem common among those who survive acts of physical and mental violence,” said Robinson in an interview on the ‘April Showers’ movie site. “It is my intention to show a side of a story that is becoming all too familiar in order to awaken the consciousness of a nation to do something positive about it.”

The Trident
A mysterious and wise shopkeeper (David Carradine) uses an ancient Indian trident and a healthy dose of Hindu spirituality to help a young man (Aalok Mehta) discover the "inner strength" to rescue his kidnapped wife.

Writer/director Anthony O'Brien takes high school drama to the mat. He stars as high school wrestler Lee Bishop who must compete against his sister Tina's natural talent when she decides to join the boy's team, before personal demons and bigger issues threaten to destroy him. Also starring Jessica Rose (Lonelygirl15) and Harvey Keitel's daughter Stella.
