When: December 18th - 20th ----- Where: Bangor, Maine (IMPORTANT! You do not need to be in Bangor to participate...the prompt will be sent by email to you if you want to participate from anywhere in the world, and remember, this competition is FREE!)
The competition begins on December 18th. There will be an informational meet & greet at the Whig & Courier Pub in downtown Bangor (18 Broad Street) at 8PM when all participating teams will be given a prompt (or emailed if you live away). The 48-hour competition period begins at 9PM. The top final films will be screened and judged on the evening of Friday, January 1st at the Bangor Opera House. There will be guest judges for the screening and prizes for the winning teams. Awards will be given for best overall film, best interpretation of the prompt, best actor and best actress. The awards will be determined by a combination of the Judges scores and the audience votes. All entries will also be posted on the festival website at the conclusion of the festival. We are actively looking for teams wishing to participate in what will be the best FREE film experience you could imagine!
All Films must be uploaded via FTP by 9pm Sunday night in order to be considered for awards! Directions for this will be given to all participants
REMINDER: You do not have to be in Bangor to participate in the competition. Teams from as far away as Europe have participated in past years, so get your team together and show off your filmmaking talent!
