    archived-videos Found footage inspired short

I went camping last weekend and came across a Little Free Library with a creepy painting on it. Felt inspired to make a short "found footage" film using a fun app called VHS cam by Rarevision. Hope to get more use out of it!

movies What's the last film you watched? And rate it!

Welcome to the Blumhouse's The Lie 4/10: Great acting, cinematography was good, but the plot was just ridiculous. And the ending had me wanting my 90 minutes back.

    diy Failed Projects

I don't have enough experience to see a project take a nosedive yet, but I do have a few projects that never made it to a timeline. Using the pandemic to put the footage together instead of starting something completely new. It's given my life some structure.

    top-list Worst movie TITLES

Happy Death Day sounds like a high school project but the film and its sequel (Happy Death Day 2U may even be worse) are actually good, fun films. Took me forever to go ahead and watch them because i judged them solely on their titles for the longest time.

I don't think I'm going to go back and reedit this video, but I'll continue to follow the movement and protests. I'm not done with the project overall.

    Why Do You Make Films?

I'm constantly thinking about this. When in the middle of a project I wonder why I put myself through this shit and then I eventually finish it and I'm ecstatic to share it with others and hope that I can stir a conversation that the audience that carry on with each other. It can be an...

Has anyone done an online course about filmmaking that was good?

Film Riot on YouTube is good for inspiration and tips and cinestudy.org has some interactive projects to practice editing with. Hands on practice has always been the best way for me to learn personally. I’ve never been able to concentrate in online classes or retain anything but inspirational...

archived-videos I Am Somebody - a Micro Doc on the Black Lives Matter Movement in Atlanta

Thank you, I appreciate it! I do agree about making it more personal. At the time I was interested in doing a fly-on-the-wall approach, but I wish I had interjected more, doing some more interviews.

Thank you, Arthur! I figured it would be controversial so it was bound to happen.

archived-videos I Am Somebody - a Micro Doc on the Black Lives Matter Movement in Atlanta

I Am Somebody I documented the protests that transpired after the killings of Eric Garner and Michael Brown by police between 2014-2015. Five years later and the protests continue. Progress still needs to be made. At the time I had just recently picked up a video camera so this is some of my...

movies What's the last film you watched? And rate it!

Gretel & Hansel - 6/10 Nice take on the original tale and beautifully filmed but a lot of unanswered questions and overall vague. Some unnecessary scenes that added nothing to the story.

archived-videos Tension - Title Sequence Practice

TENSION Felt inspired by HBO's The Outsider and made my own intro credit sequence using milk, food coloring, and dish soap on the end of a q-tip to dip in the bowl and disperse the liquids. Shot on a Canon XC15 and lit with a Light & Motion Stella 2000. This is currently practice and made out...
