After seeing Fritz Lang's Metropolis at the age of 12, I was completely blown away. That was when I decided to be a filmmaker. However, I rediscovered my love of filmmaking last year.:)
I would do seperate channels. Personally, I don't mind bilingual content as viewer because I know that there are many different audiences out there besides the English market. But good luck.:)
Welcome to IndieTalk. Recently, I just became an youtuber myself. But mostly, I do gameplay videos for casual games. However, I am working on doing my own machinima series on there.
I have finished my erotic Sci-fi anthology and did a lot of my marketing for that. Then I decided to start working on my horror web series. So, I am working on the script as we speak.
I would say that you should do every audition that you can, take community college acting course, and get your reel done. Also you should work on some of your own content as well. In addition; do not be afraid of doing voice acting, take jobs in minor roles, or even start an youtube channel.

I would not recommend the most expensive ones. However, you can take some nice film courses on Coursera, Udemy, and FutureLearn. FutureLearn even have courses on producing and directing as well.
