How To Achieve The $1 Billion Box Office Gross

There really was no goal, I just wrote my thoughts down and thought I'd share with my friends at IndieTalk. Maybe people should have their IQ tested before being allowed to post comments. Sweetie, since you don't have a brain, let me try and explain to you. Meeting the 3 criteria required for...

How To Achieve The $1 Billion Box Office Gross

The top 10 list is from the Guinness book of world records so yes, it's possible TFA might make the list when it gets updated, but it's also possible that it won't. We'll just have to wait and see. Even so, the fact that only 2 of the movies were written by the same person won't change.

How To Achieve The $1 Billion Box Office Gross

When somebody uses the bible as evidence for a franchise, he's clearly a TROLL. I don't mind meaningful criticism but this kind of stupidity? No thanks.

How To Achieve The $1 Billion Box Office Gross

Wrong. Inflation has occurred since the last top 10 list was released so Star Wars: The Force Awakens still won't make this list. Adaptation & Franchise are 2 different things. Clearly you don't know what you're talking about. You're an idiot. Go troll somewhere else.

How To Achieve The $1 Billion Box Office Gross

You're welcome, and thank you Cracker Funk. Wow, gorillaonabike, I hadn't even noticed that. You're right, none of the films in the top 10 highest grossing list of all time were franchise movies. That's very interesting. Probably Avatar 2 will break this stat but we can only speculate. I'll...

I Just Finished My First Demo, I'd Appreciate If Someone Listned

You're definitely talented and the song is great, could be a top 10 hit in the right hands and with an altered chorus. The chorus isn't all that good. But shouldn't you be posting this on a music site instead of Indietalk?

How To Achieve The $1 Billion Box Office Gross

Since 2010 about 4 500 major studio movies have been made. Only 19 of them grossed over $1 billion at the Box Office. That's a very small number so I decided to investigate exactly what these 19 films got right. In this article I looked at everything from the impact of MPAA rating to movie...

I'm 17 and just wrapped my first feature

The fact that you made your 1st feature at 17 is definitely impressive. I'm curious to know how much it cost you to make and where you got the money. I could learn a thing or 2 as I'm actually trying to raise money for my 1st feature on Indiegogo. You also seem to play mainly dark roles, is this...

Feedback on Script - Island (Horror) (31 Pages So Far)

Your story is quite good. I like how you hook the reader on page 1 with the hospital patient. Your dialogue is also good. As for the slug lines, instead of saying: EXT. ISLAND - RESORT - VOLLEYBALL FIELD - DAY Why not just name the Island at the beginning and explain it's a resort. Then if the...

Extortion - Your Ultimate Comedy Heist Movie

Hey guys, I've done, it, I've finally launched my indiegogo campaign. I've been a writer for the past 20 years and currently have 5 published full length novels to my name (& multiple screenplays). But we all know that people don’t like to read anymore, so I've decided to get into the film...

    Hypothetical question here

I'd definitely make the movie as long as you pay me for it. You didn't mention whether the $60k includes my salary or not.

    Feedback for first screenplay?

freykit, nice to see you're back to writing. Did you create a Treatment and Beat Sheet (scene-list) before actually writing the screenplay? Never write a screenplay without a Beat Sheet. And never write a Beat Sheet without the inflexion points. Anyway, here are a few comments and observations...

My film Crowdfunder just went live

From my own experience running small $3 ads on facebook, I have to say it's pretty effective. Way better and cheaper than Google that's for sure. Let me illustrate with a little story. In the 1st 25 days of their campaign, the Ekster Wallet guys raised €200 000. Then they did Facebook ads on day...

My film Crowdfunder just went live

You don't need people with money. The reason it's called crowdfunding is the backers don't have money anyway so they contribute in numbers to make an impact, as a crowd. That's why the majority of funding is from the $10 - $25 range.
