FADING, a feature film directorial debut to screen in PA!

I'm in Easton area. Lehigh Valley. I've been busy with FADING and have been turning down commercials. Now with the feature finished, I have a few more weeks until I get back into directing spots. Then I'll be really busy.

Q&A after your screenings proves helpful.

I would suggest that everyone hold a Q&A after the screening of their movie. I got tons of feedback by doing this, this past weekend. I was put in touch with my audience and I found that my film is really hitting a cord with people. Armed with this new info, we're tweaking the marketing and...

    Post-production sound

8 tracks! Yikes! I could do a commercial with 8 but never a feature. I do use a studio that has ProTools from time to time. And it is sweet. $200 per hour adds up quick.

4 wall-ing! How long have you done it?

This takes tons of energy and time. But the payoff is worth it. Especially if you made your film for very little money. Anyone here been 4 wall-ing it? How long have you been at it? Any pitfalls or snags along the way? Thanks. Michael

    Post-production sound

I mainly used what Adobe Premiere offered to do my sound on my feature. Along with Cool Edit Pro and Sound Forge to manipulate WAV files. The biggest factor was having a good playback system that was representative of what the sound actually was as far as EQ. Making VHS dubs from the computer...

Thanks, man. This morning I got a blurb in our local paper which promises of a feature article in 2 weeks. Local critics are responding... "powerful drama... unsettling." Should be good. I'm starting to get butterflies. Michael
