Should I submit this short to festivals?

If you gave your all into making a short film, I think it's always worth submitting it to film festivals. As for it being festival-worthy (being selected for a screening), you won't know unless you send it and let the programmers decide for themselves.

How do you market/advertise yourself as a Freelancer?

I'm considering becoming self-employed and work as a Freelance Videographer. This is new to me and I do have a lot of questions about it, but I suppose the most important one is this: once you've started an independent business how do you advertise yourself, or let potential clients know about...

If you have to film and interview shy people, how would you go about mitigating their "camera-shyness" in order to help them feel comfortable being filmed in an interview?

Should I wear formal or casual clothes?

I have been asked to come in for a job trial session for the "Photo Editor" position. They are a sportswear company. Silly question but what type of clothes should I wear for the trial, formal (suit and tie) or casual? I rarely go to job trials. Thanks.

What motion graphics techniques do I need to have?

8 months ago my contract got terminated (I worked as a Videographer/Video Editor) and I'm currently looking for a similar full-time role. Based on my job search almost all job requirements include some degree of experience or knowledge of creating motion graphics and using After Effects. This...

Will there be trouble if a short film displays a company's logo?

Thanks for the replies. Also, I can't seem to find information about the company. Not even a website. Let's just say, theoretically, Minster has been liquidated (no longer in business) and the law indeed forbids logos from appearing in short films without consent, would showing Minster's logo...

When colour grading DSLR footage (for example Canon)- in Premeire Pro CC - should you colour correct before or after applying stylised LUTs? I've never used LUTs before. So this is kind of new to me.

    Using a famous person's name

Is there such a thing as legal ownership of a famous person's name (especially deceased one)? For example, Thomas Edison, Nikola Tesla, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, etc.

    How to solve image breakdown

It was recorded in h.364 yes. My workflow is: colour grade clips in FilmConvert (standalone) and export. Then bring colour graded clips to Final Cut Express, edit and export. Not a typo. It's kbps in Final Cut Express - and probably Final Cut Pro too.

    How to solve image breakdown

I'm having a difficult time trying to get rid of compression artefacts, specifically in the shadow area. Examples can be found below, https://www.dropbox.com/sh/kqtkgebqrik7j6k/AAAh2tbVJ93beWNg0HNQIgMua?dl=0 I was wondering what can be done to solve this? For context: the raw footage was...

Can't take my DSLR on an airplane without risks?

This is good information. Thanks for sharing. Kind of makes me wonder if the speaker had an anti-digital agenda - and lied intentionally about sensors not being safe on airplane flights - whilst giving his lecture.
