    Sticker shock?? O M G

In general, Withoutabox makes every festival have higher entry fees in return for more entries. I would search other places before going through Withoutabox.

    Overused techniques?

-Too much improper use of stock footage for VFX; especially Videocopilot's products. I find that overusing something doesn't matter if it's done well.

    A Motiveless Killer???

Something makes a person kill. You would probably know by your name - Mad Hatter, that motive isn't always obvious for anything a person does. So a motive can be a hidden thing, behind layers of mystery, it could be simple thing that triggers it all. Going back Cain and Abel - and origin story...

watch Need critique of opening sequence (Death shall Die short film)

From a technical standpoint: The biggest problem here is the audio; The SFX of the gunshot doesn't fit with the environment and sounds fake. The part where the old man suddenly says something has a hissing room tone jump in and out of silence. Some areas randomly have no sound like the car...

    Color Correction /Grading

The teaser is in black & white, any chance of posting a scene or some stills from the film and explain what you might need in the coloring department? This could help you find people that have the proper skills to do what you need under your proposed budget.

    Christopher Nolan's INTERSTELLAR

Nolan's trailers usually don't reveal much about the films. However, where this not a Nolan film I doubt anyone would be so excited for this. I'm not any more or any less excited for this film after seeing the teaser, it simply did nothing for me.

    watch The Blood Trail

I wrote that wrong, not the middle part of the finger, but the middle part of the tip. :\ It needs to be squeezed back.

    watch The Blood Trail

Damn deers! Nice one, here's what I think can improve in the bounds of the same budget: 1. A lot of films mess this up, but properly shooting a rifle should be done with the middle part of your trigger finger, not with its tip. This so you don't "click" it. Instead, you squeeze it against the...

    Day for night

I can't remember which film it was, but when working in Universal Studios, I was told that a film once shot on the New York Street lot day for night. They colored all the buildings in black paint! That's crazy. It doesn't always save shooting day for night; if you are doing the post work for...

    Day for night

While I don't think this is a perfect tutorial, it isn't bad either and can get you going in the right direction: http://www.videocopilot.net/tutorials/day_to_night_conversion/ I find that shooting day for night is usually bad for outdoor scenes. To pull it off right, you need that production...

    Short film Poster

While I think that you really can't find a better deal than what Dready is offering, I worked with this guy before: http://www.balrogboogie.de/ He has some great stuff and is also fun to work with. However, it will cost you more than the standing offer, of course.
