industry are tv companies safe to deal with?

It looks like they did not specifically request the material from you. I would have sent a query letter first. If they asked for a script by name, I would send it. If they can prove I lied on any question, that might destroy any chance I had in court in case of copyright dispute.

industry are tv companies safe to deal with?

I get a sleazy feeling reading some of the tv production company announcements. But since my work is sleazy, it might be the right place for me. 30 minute horror stories, shot in video, cheap plots. Like Outer Limits from the 1960's I suspect some scam script calls on LA craigslist are...

now I wait. I sent them to film companies listed as accepting unsolicited screenplays. But I have only sent queries with loglines in most cases. One was sent a synopsis, as they requested. I tried to look for the sleaziest companies first, based on the sleaziness of their films. One thing I...

screenplay what is a beat in scriptwriting?

I heard that elmore leonard was mad at burt reynolds for the latter's direction of the Leonard story, Stick. Leonard thought Reynolds put a beat after every dialogue line, and that this ruined the story. How do beats work? Can they put in or taken out by the scriptwriter? Orson Welles used...
