8mm film always looks great. But as I have no connection to these people and theres no particular story to the piece, I got a little bored. Sorry. A bit too slow for me to get a connection to any particular visual thing you may have been trying to do.

Hate the song/music and whole rap thing, BUT it looked great! And as a music video it was glossy and well put together. Thumbs up from me!

    archived-vidoes Paintball promo

Thanks guys. Running time was due to the clients wishes - wanted all the great shots used to the max, Obviously less repitition would be good, (I shot for 90 secs) but on the other hand I doubt the target audience will mind. The brief was to "keep it moving along like a rollercoaster". Story...

    editing Compression question

Finally worked out how to compress stuff on my system. I just reconfigured the bit rate settings so the MB per minute rate brought the project in at under 500MB. Thanks for the help A. Much appreciated.

    archived-vidoes Irish Short film

This film is now available in full on Vimeo. Ive had to compress the hell out of it to keep the 20 min running time under 500MB so usual degradation occurs. It's in B+W and intentionally "ugly" in terms of its visual look. As its set in Ireland and things are pretty rough over here economically...

    archived-vidoes The Stolen Wings

Hi Gerard imagine meeting you here!! But then again I'm sure we agree that spreading your wings (no pun intended) is a far better way to garner opinion on your work. Once again, this film is visually ambitious and far more developed than the Scanner. You genuinely have a flair for the lighting...

    editing Compression question

I hate compression. Its a video file on my timeline. I want to export it. Running time is 24 mins. Im trying to get it sub 500mb for Vimeo. Ive no problem with it being 750mb for DVD. But I'd like to upload it to my vimeo account in one part as opposed to two parts. The internet doesn't do...

archived-vidoes Bite the hand that feeds

Okay I posted up my "opus" which at 25 odd minutes long and in 3 parts is probably difficult to watch. Here's something a little easier and shorter to watch. This is a film my team and I made for a 48 hour film competition. The brief was; Prop: "Todays newspaper" Dialogue: "why would we go...

Hi I appreciate the feedback. Just one point on the cinematography. It was intentionally Bland to add to the morbid nature of the story.
