  1. lighting Evening/night forest filming/cabin, trying to figure light solutions (powerbank powered)

Hey good idea, make day to night .Specially because the sky is so high. Its hard to make the sky dark but if you cant see it, you can adjust in after effects or sony vegas or premiere pro or something similar. Just as long as sky isnt visible.

  3. lighting Evening/night forest filming/cabin, trying to figure light solutions (powerbank powered)

Im going to a forest to film a little thing (finally). I have a Bmpcc (old version) and panasonic Gh3. Need help mainly in lights. I know I can go it the hardway like you all usually do and me often too, spending hours and hours and hours doing mistakes, then figuring it out, but maybe someone...
  4. Need lens help (D5200 camera)

I have bought the GH3 now. Its traveling in post. There were a lot of 1.8 aperture lenses for Nikon but not so much for Panasonic or they are crazy espensive. Does M43 handle aperture somehow differently? Panasonic 12-35 zoom 2.8 is ok? Good depth of field for indiefilm etc? Can someone say...
  5. Need lens help (D5200 camera)

Heres a super edit: Im selling the camera and getting a Gh3. Its too risky for me to do this with D5200. So, all advices are welcome, but camera has changed to GH3 and lens mount to M43, so all lens questions are still valid but different mount, thank you!

Hello Im planning on doing somekinda short movie or something, not planned yet if its longer (it depens on what imagination brings to my mind), but I clearly now need some lenses. It will be shot in a forest/outside, and also in a small cabin. I bought the camera a month ago and have been...
  7. NEW Sigma f1.8 Zoom lens $799 for 18-35mm

Oh yea I was a bit stupid. I forgot you can change the aperture on lenses that have no manual aperture ring. I forgot it. D5200 can change aperture with the switches but you must switch live view on and off for the aperture to change on the lens, or to take a picture for it to change to the new...
  8. NEW Sigma f1.8 Zoom lens $799 for 18-35mm

Ok thanks for your tips. Must study this thing more. Im searching for lenses for nikon D5200 and im going to film in forest and maybe at a little dark but I cant use low aperture if its only small stuff in focus at a time.
  9. NEW Sigma f1.8 Zoom lens $799 for 18-35mm

Do you mean that if I put this sigma 18-35MM to the 18mm part, it still wont focus a whole room for example? The depth of field is still only maybe few feets (depending if the front area of camera or back wall is chosen) or something? I was wondering if this sigma could replace several primes...
  10. NEW Sigma f1.8 Zoom lens $799 for 18-35mm

I have a question about this lens and maybe 18mm-25mm and wide angle 1.8 lenses in general. Camera would be nikon d5200 (dx x1.5 crop sensor). In close up shots these lenses create great depth of field but if I would be to film in a room at wide (18mm), and the person in the middle of the...
