    Low prices on stock video

Someone recommended https://pixabay.com for lots of royalty free videos and images. Great site and FREE! Beyond that, you will notice that Shutterstock, iStock, Adobe and a few other big names are cost prohibitive. iStock gives you 36 videos for $325. Ouch! Shutterstock is $79 per video clip...

    Amazon Prime Video Removing Titles

The way I got my movie banned you'd think I was Alex Jones! Here's their "final solution" response... "My name is Courtney ______ with Prime Video Direct Customer Relations. I understand that you'd like to know the specific reasons why your title was removed, but we can't divulge this...

    Bottom rate for actors

SAG is so out of touch with reality. How do you squeeze blood out of a rock?

    Bottom rate for actors

What is the very low end of the spectrum that people are paying actors in LA? I'm shooting a short for YouTube mainly. Need an "expert" to do just a few lines. Half a page maybe. Shooting at a park near the talent or where ever is convenient for them. Auditioning by email. So it would be very...

    Amazon Prime Video Removing Titles

They are refusing to give me an explanation. After 3 requests for an answer they are still stonewalling me. I've asked a forth time. Here's their latest response. They're obviously hiding an over reaction of political correctness... My name is Alex, customer service supervisor at Prime Video...

distribution Alternatives to iTunes and Amazon Video Direct?

I guessing that YOU have to drive traffic to your movie on Vimeo. Are there really a lot of people who are gonna stumble upon your movie and rent it?

distribution Alternatives to iTunes and Amazon Video Direct?

And what about consumers who watch movies on VIMEO. Is Vimeo a subscription service? Or does the make revenue from ads?

distribution Alternatives to iTunes and Amazon Video Direct?

Why did you have to "upgrade"? Do you think it would cost me $240 a year to put one 90 minute movie on there? UPDATE: OK. I think I found the page detailing their platform. $20 a month billed annually. And they charge $7 a month to earn NO revenue???? How comical! Who would pay to earn...

    Amazon Prime Video Removing Titles

I had my comedy film removed from Amazon less than a month ago after it was released over 10 years ago. At this point it wasn't earning much and Amazon also slashed royalties by 60%, but the principal of it all is disconcerting. They refused to give me a specific explanation as to why. We have...

Cost to hire a good voiceover guy?

Wouldn't fit with Life After People. They used a deep done, serious voice and a British voice for other episodes.

    URGENT!! I need contract advice!!!

An air tight contract is useless if they refuse to honor it. That's why you have to pretend as if there is no contract (even when there is one). That means you get paid in installments as milestones of the work is completed. Don't turn over the final hi-rez finished product until paid. Give them...

    Sony A6300

My Sony A6300 just arrived today. Anyone own this camera? I'm memory card shopping. Only need 1080p -- No need for 4K right now. Would like to shoot some slow mo. I'm assuming that all I need for a 32 GB card is SDHC, AVCHD. What MB/S would I look for?

    sound Music licensing question

YouTube will flag it and usually ALLOW it, but they will stick ads on there and collect revenue for the copyright owner.

Cost to hire a good voiceover guy?

Just for a YouTube video with ads, but I'm putting a lot of work into it with music and all. Trying to do a really good parody of "Life After People". I'm gonna run a casting call on NowCasting at $250 just to see if I can find a diamond in the rough. Otherwise I might just have to use my own...

distribution Alternatives to iTunes and Amazon Video Direct?

Wow that's about 2.2 mil more than me! Survival shows like Man VS Wild, Dual Survival, Survivorman, Naked & Afraid are a popular niche. Also shows about living off the grid, making moonshine in the woods, looking for ginseng or mushrooms in the woods, etc.

Which earns more money for you, Amazon or Vimeo?

You should use the Amazon affiliate program to post links below your videos for people to buy survival gear. Post a link to your channel or PM me. I'll check out your channel.

So you got about a million views then?

distribution Alternatives to iTunes and Amazon Video Direct?

I think I'm going to try posting my movie in 5 parts on YouTube with ads (which amount to peanuts) but also with a Patreon donation link that I mention at the end of each video. No $240 annual fee. I'll bet that in the end I might do better that way.

distribution Alternatives to iTunes and Amazon Video Direct?

Wow that's a hefty setup fee. What do viewers pay? I find it hard to believe that Vimeo draws more traffic than Amazon. Amazon Video Direct only pays like 10 cents per 90 minute movie view. So if I had to pay a $240 fee with Amazon then it would take about 2,400 views per year just to break even!

    Resilient Media Group

I fail to see the need to use them. ANYBODY can put their movie up on Amazon Video Direct.
