    Your Dream Movie

well... as for my own projects... i've got 2 separate scifi epics that i would love to make. for one i have the first draft of a script, for the other i just have an in-depth synopsis written. as for an established property, i'd love to do a hitchcock type movie version of Ken Follett's...

    archived-videos Fractured - short film

My film "Fractured" was just released today. It's part of a larger series of short films called "That Time of the Year". Is about 6-1/2 minutes long, and is the 5th film in the series. All the films in the series had to be 5 page scripts or less, and had to be shot in one day. EDIT: here's...

archived-videos That Time of the Year: Episode 1 - The Right Call

Here is episode 1 of a web series that I'm involved with. I think it's a pretty good start. Will be 12 films from 12 directors, one per month over 12 months. The connecting thread is that they all have some connection with Time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FyEUtD_97hc

archived-videos The Man Who Knew Everything

Here is a short film that I helped work on last year. We shot it over 3 days. It's similar to a twilight zone episode. The director wrote it and also plays the main character. I did lots of different stuff, from lighting, to working the camera dolley, to monitoring the video feed. Was a...

Anybody else jazzed about "Super 8"?

dunno... i guess i just haven't gotten into the whole JJ Abrams kick like everyone else. i've been disappointed with just about everything i've seen from him. as far as a director... he's only made 2 movies before this... MI3 and star trek. MI3 was ok. i guess it was what it was supposed to...

    Sony Vegas Timeline Move

instead of using "ctrl"... you can use "shift" to select everything in between two points.... or, better, yet, use the selection tool..... it is up by where you select the "normal edit tool"... use that and whatever you drag the rectangle across will be selected... then go back to the normal...

How to Mesmerizing Your movie viewing Audience ???

well, i agree, tongoll, that character development is another important tool.... sometimes strong character development can overshadow and make up for a weaker or more derivative storyline... strong characters can be very compelling, and can definitely draw a viewer in. though, at times, a...

How to Mesmerizing Your movie viewing Audience ???

i don't think i agree with uranium city... story isn't really what grabs you right away... in fact, as you mentioned, even before you even know what's going on you can be drawn in... it isn't the story at that point that is drawing you in... you don't even know the story... you could even...

    Indie Noir?
