    cinematography Video Problem

BAH my iphone corrected me. I was trying to say turn off the image stabilization on the lens, sometimes it can jump when going from light to dark.

Perhaps (and this is a shot in the dark) try turning off IS on the lens?

    archived-videos Your Poison Is Strong

Shot this in a day with a "space rock" band (don't ask me what that is because I'm not entirely sure myself). Pretty happy with the results! Shot on Canon 6D and 550D with a flycam, tamron 10-24mm, canon 28-135mm, and canon 40mm prime. This is the video that afforded me the opportunity to pool...

    cinematography Video Problem

are you talking about the 24p judder throughout the whole video or the extreme jump at ~0:07? The thing at 0:07 looks like an encoding issue. Does it do that when you play it back on the camera itself?

    selling 6D for A7Rii funds

Do you have examples of the image degradation with IBIS? I feel like the degradation would be negligible in a 4k image downsampled to 1080p. Also, I really like the fact that the A7rii (and A7s) both have stunning low light capability, as I do a lot of event shooting and run-and-gun guerrilla...

archived-videos "We've Got Balls" Indie Comedy -- Trailer

Looks like it lacked color completely. The only redeeming part for me was the "are you calling the shot?" bit. The typography and editing looked lackluster, especially for how many people it looks like you guys had involved in the project. I would ALWAYS advise against using a dip to white or a...

    selling 6D for A7Rii funds

Hey guys, I own a relatively successful, albeit small video production company. I generally do videos starting at $1,500, up to $2,500 (our most lucrative project). These projects are getting more and more frequent (at least one a month) as I gain notoriety and a reputation for cinematic...

    Hiya everybody!

get a team, make something very small at first. practice, research, know your gear inside and out. don't make excuses when faced with challenges; see those challenges as opportunities to be more creative. filmmaking to me is all about creative problem solving. knowing that no matter how much pre...

ANyone want to diagnose thi video problem? link provided

this looks like it's the camera's stabilization getting confused. it happens sometimes when you shoot with low light and/or multiple lights pointed directly at the camera.

    Oh, Hi, Indietalk!

Hello and welcome! The video looks pretty good, audio is decent which I wasn't expecting. The only complaint I have is that the skin tones look very pale and green, almost undead. This can probably be fixed easily though. Can I ask what you shot on?

editing fixing sensor dust in post?

we shot a music video in a very dusty area this past weekend. when we offloaded the footage and inspected it, there was quite a bit of sensor dust present in every shot. I've tried a few methods for removing these spots, but wanted to know if there are any tutorials or tips for removing a LOT of...

    Indie Film Campaign Launched!

I agree with this. A bigshot director wouldn't waste his time writing condescending comments to a bunch of amateurs on a mildly popular filmmaking forum.

    payment contract (w/ incremental payments)

Hello all. I need some direction in finding a good payment contract that I can use as a template. I need the contract to set up a few things: -$1,000 total -25% down on shoot day -No more than 3 months to pay off the remainder -Payments can be as large or small as desired, but payment must be...

editing Anyone know where I can get blu rays and dvd cover made for a project?

I'll design it for you. Assuming we'll go back and forth about 50 times because you don't have the language to communicate what you want, let's say the price is a flat rate of $5,000
