This technology actually came from multi rotor copters. The gimbals were for use on multi copters. I've been looking into building a copter for flying cameras. So you really like the Artist Color? I've preordered the Pocket Cinema Camera, and have been learning Resolve. Been looking into controllers, and the Artist Color seems to be where I'm leaning.

Thinking about this some more, the frame they crawl through doesn't really even have to be the same size as the TV screen. Just the same aspect ratio. Would even be a cooler effect this way. You size to footage down to fit into the TV area. So if your frame is 25% bigger, you footage is reduced...

I had Magic Bullit, and I am now learning Resolve. It is totally worth the effort to learn. I've even found someone who created a LUT that is designed for putting a starting grade on CineStyle shot footage.

I'm not expert on color grading. But there's more to coloring then just making general color changes to a whole scene. You can use primaries to do general color correction, and secondary's to isolate certain parts of the clip to adjust very specific things. That's why colorist are important.

Download Davinci Resolve Lite. It's free from BlackMagic Designs. It's every bit as full featured as their $999 version, except it only does up to 1080p, not 2k or 4k. Some great tutorials. This is a bit off topic, but some guns do and some guns don't. And it is entirely up to the film maker to present their film how they choose. But it can also be said there is a perception that movie goers have come to expect from certain things, and a muzzle could be one of them.
