Black Magic Pocket Camera Review: vs Canon 5D3 and Red Epic

Came across this article. Hoping the EF to m4/3 speed booster comes out soon. Have some great EF glass that would be nice to use on the pocket camera. Also would like to pick up this Sigma, but only want the EF version...

Black Magic Pocket Camera Review: vs Canon 5D3 and Red Epic

I have 2 of the sandisk 64gig extreme pro. No issues so far. Unboxed the camera a few hours ago. It's raining out, and not much to shoot in my small apartment. Looking forward to a day off next week to go out and shoot some stuff.

archived-videos Human Powered Vehicles aerial footage

Well, spent this week working out the kinks in my F550. The kit I bought was junk. Long story short, dji ended up replacing my naza, but that's it. I bought my kit in August of last year (13 months ago). Ended up having to replace all 6 motors, and one of the esc. Sat for a year (due to being...

archived-videos Human Powered Vehicles aerial footage

Just spent the last hour checking out the Tarot Gimbal. That's really nice. I have a DJI F550, but just ordered an F450 frame kit, to convert it to a quadopter. Think I'm going to pick up that tarot gimbal. Looks simple enough to get together and almost seems plug and play.

archived-videos Human Powered Vehicles aerial footage

Your aerial footage is coming along nicely. The Tarot gimbal looks like it works real well. I've been thinking of picking up a Phantom, with the Zenmuse gopro gimbal. I like the Hero 3 black editions. Shoots 2.7k, which would be a good resolution for correcting the fisheye effect on the footage...

Balckmagic Pocket Camera: What would be good lenses for it?

Heck, I'm considering preordering a 2nd pocket cam.

Balckmagic Pocket Camera: What would be good lenses for it?

Bluntly commented in his review, the orb issue is an issue, but to the untrained eye, they'd probably never see,the orbs, unless someone pointed it out. And if the untrained eye is picking up on the orb issue, then maybe the film maker needs to take a look at the content of what their filming.

Balckmagic Pocket Camera: What would be good lenses for it?

Where are you hearing this? I've seen nothing but incredible footage coming from the pocket cam, even with the issues. I have no doubt they'll be resolved soon enough. Frankly if you haven't ordered a pocket cam already, you might be better off getting something else, as it may be spring before...

Balckmagic Pocket Camera: What would be good lenses for it?

I still think the images coming out of this camera are incredible, white orbs or not. I haven't been following the fixing of this issue, but I'm sure it will get hammered out soon enough. Over on another discussion board, John Brawley commented to another guy about his shooting settings. And...

Blackmagic solve sensor blooming issues with Pocket Camera!

Awesome. I've been busy at the day job, and haven't kept up with the issue over the last few days. Even with the issue, I was never close to canceling my preorder. Eagerly awaiting its arrival. Although I'm disappointed to see everyone who's posted as getting their cameras, were people who...

color-grading What do you think of these color graded looks?

I think I said this in another thread. I don't think you fully understand the art of color grading. There are so many different ways to achieve looks, it's not necessarily a tweak a few colors and go. There are "Primary" corrections, and "secondary" corrections. You can use different tools to...

    Avid Aritst Color Control Panel.

Yes, you are correct. It was formerly the Euphonix Color. I'm loving resolve, and can't wait to mess around and learn to use a controller with it. https://vimeo.com/38700483

    Avid Aritst Color Control Panel.

Ok, I'm such a dork. No real reason I'm posting this. But, since I've preordered the BMD Pocket Camera, I've been teaching myself Resolve lite. Since learning Resolve, I decided to order an Avid Artist Color control panel. It just arrived, and can't wait to get home and hook it up. When I was...

Balckmagic Pocket Camera: What would be good lenses for it?

As I've mentioned in other threads about this camera, I have preordered one (still eagerly awaiting its arrival). I have bought 3 lens so far. The Panasonic 12-35 f2.8 http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/865111-REG/Panasonic_H_HS12035_Lumix_G_X_Vario.html The olympus 45 f1.7...

cinematography Follow focus while moving the camera?

Ok, I'll admit I didn't look up the video you referenced, and I'm just a hobbyist, so I'm sure more experienced members will offer advice as well. A lot would depend on the subject you are focusing on. If it was a singular person who is moving, then you could set your focus, and know how close...

    editing After Effects help

Once rotoscoped, I think you would have to duplicate the object layer. Make one black and white, and the other color. Make sure the b&w layer os above the color layer. Then key frame the transparency property of the B&W layer to go from 100 to 0 over the amount of time you want it to take. This...
