Not necessarily working on anything but my groups 48 Hour Short Film is going to be in the Best Of screening this weekend =]. We also won Audience Choice and Spirit Award in our screening group last week.

And that's the sucky part hahah. Thankfully I've always been a fairly fast editor. What helps is being the one that's both the camera operator and editor so I'm already editing in my head as I shoot.

Youtubes auto-stabilization is skewing our point of view but even if it didn't have it, a lot of it has to do with the framing and acting. Most of the shots were too wide with a lot of dead space. Editing wise I thought it was fine.

Shorten the front and end of the room tone, copy it from there, and then crossfade it. When you don't shorten the audio and apply the crossfade, then there's no actual audio to crossfade with.

Oh wow. I feel like an idiot. I don't know why I never thought of making black bars as a PNG file. I usually had a *.prtl set aside for said situations.

As Walter said, the fill left and fill right option would be the better choice as you can isolate the audio that way.

I could only assume that you're trying to do a 3D comp and it's exporting at 2D which won't show correctly. It's weird. Again, this is all assumptions, We can't know without you showing us.
