I was going to say something similar in response. These guys weren't completely outside the industry. Not saying that you are, but they weren't coming at it with just finished script.
And a movie and a TV series are worlds apart. I register my scripts with the writers guild, but if you're...
Two threads were started on this topic at the same time. Here's what I responded in the other one:
Nate North, I'm curious about this story on "Everybody Loves Raymond". What did you hear and where did you hear it?

Saw the movie before its theatrical release- fair, not great. Could have been better. But Gibson gives a decent performance, and makes the concept of The Beaver somewhat plausible. Never really goes as far as it should, I don't think.
Wouldn't recommend highly, but it's got a few moments...
First, be prepared to sell your script or give up creative control.
Unless you have a track record within the industry - which I'm going to assume you don't, or you wouldn't be asking about this - whoever buys the show, if you are fortunate enough to sell it, will end up taking over creative...
The second sun, to the right, does a strange move when the video first starts up, as if orienting itself on screen, that looks wrong.
I would separate the suns more - put the second one further to the right of the frame, and make it smaller or larger. Give it a different sense of visual...
Nice set, congrats - for a first time, that's really strong and together.
If you don't mind some feedback from a former comic, here are the things I would offer up to you as advice, or to consider...
I think you would start off a little more strongly if you went straight for the "Chris...
What else are reviewers supposed to go by, if not the finished product, on-screen...? Their job is to review the movie, not the movie that could have been made from the original script...

I haven't looked at this cut, but never show anyone your rough cut.
People who work in the business will always tell you that they understand rough cuts, and that they don't judge rough cuts by sound drops, color correction issues, effects not in place, etc., and then as soon as you start it...
I don't know what has happened in previous R.I.P. threads, and sorry if I'm breaking some unspoken rule of indietalk by making a comment that is viewed as non-respectful. I don't necessarily agree with the school of thought that death equals an impetus for respect, but that is neither here nor...
Why are people always so saddened to see a thread go off-topic on the Internet?
Sorry to take it further off, and increase the agony, but - it's the Internet - the whole thing is off-topic...
Sympathies to those who are truly affected by the loss of this performer and person.

It's a quick snapshot of a way to see what is important to most people. The media will report both incidents, because they are both tragedies, and therefore, money-makers.
No worries, as well.

Threads go off-topic. And, honestly, I don't think a thread in a newsgroup "pays respect" to anyone, unless that person was a member of that newsgroup, or, I guess, that profession.
But, again, that may just be me.

Sure, I get that. But, it's not just here - it's everywhere.
Sorry to any of her personal friends and family here who were offended by my statement.

To both. Getting footage for your reel is kind of an unspoken thing you're working for, when you're on a production. It's usually "spoken" to the unpaid talent, because it is generally their only compensation, aside from the experience and food on set, etc.
But, paid talent expects to...
