archived-videos Short Action Movie - Feedback

Damn it damn it damn it, that was so very very close to being really good. To break it down.. You began with the feet shots...often overlooked by others, feet shots are always a great way to do that shot. Perfect. The rest of the dream, awesome, it was just the right amount of cheesy and...

    I'm going to do it!

I would find a BIG block of packing foam, or multiple pieces glued and carved into a couch shape with fabric stitched appropriately...Just keep in mind that due to its lightness, it may take a bit of tweaking, perhaps some led weights or something in the corners to get it flying through the air...

    A Sobering Bit of Reality

A solution is in the pipeline...this has been considered as part of the "fix" I am working on. Great to see the issue raised in print though. Its a huge problem. The other point is that for every good indie film out there, there are hundreds of bad ones, giving the entire indie scene a bad...

The true power of green screen

Cheers for that one Photon. Always good to see just how much more advanced the pro's are given their mega budgets, equipment, and experience...I always find the "how" even more amazing then the "what" on things like this. They are incredibly skilled.

The true power of green screen

Correct. you had to paint masks on every frame? That sounds tedious...thats how they did "A Scanner Darkly"

    You could do that.

The true power of green screen

Yea ok. Still, I don't know about wherever you live but some film makers here don't even know what green screening or compositing is...so this helps to show them the what it can help achieve.

I figured we had at least two more pages of derailed conversations in us before we had to set anything in concrete, and that wasn't allowing for pointless disputes to break out...oh well...Man from Nowhere it is then! Lets all watch it by Sunday US time and be back here to comment.

The true power of green screen

There are those that are always discussing green screening shots, and many new film makers don't understand what green screening does, how it is used, or what it can bring. Here I found a beautiful example of just some of the advantages that good green screening can bring. Enjoy the true art...
