    Need Rap/street slang in screenplay

Birdman is right...there are a hundred and one hood movies which is fine but you are in a unique position to write an Israeli story from the eyes of a homeless Israeli kid, or worker, or soldier, or mother, or brother etc etc. I would far prefer to watch that story then another hood story. Don't...

    IT Movie Club: Movie Watch!

For me, the movie was very good. The knife fight scene at the end blew my mind...I saw him coming up under the arms with the blade and I was stoked to finally see an authentic knife fight. I won't go into why pro's go up and under the arm but it is certainly what they do. That is genuine knife...

    Need Rap/street slang in screenplay

That to me is pc hogwash...to be frank, I have nothing against anyone based on race or anything else, nor do I think any race is better then another. BUT if a black kid wants to rap about white guys, does he not use the word "cracker" in case we are all amazingly offended. No, he writes that in...

    Antagonist Motivations

Ok, fair enough. We will leave the Sherlock series then. We clearly differ in taste on that one. Debating it further would not add value to this post :) Tv series with decent bad guys. -Boardwalk Empire (I love this series) -Breaking Bad (didn't really watch it, it was a bit boring) -Macguyver...

    Antagonist Motivations

There is antagonistic motivation. Moriarty is a criminal consultant and makes a living from that. Sherlock got in the way ergo revenge was called for. Moriarty is no robotic supercomputer, he is just very experienced in his trade. Whats wrong with that? Out of interest, who would you suggest...

    Building an editing computer

Dude, I can't advise you on what to spend your dollars on. There are people here far more knowledgeable in that aspect. My advice would be this though as a fellow kiwi. Avoid pricespy. Yes its the cheapest way to source goods here in NZ, but if you are clever you can source your gear from the...

    My dog is legal again!!

I have a purebred sharpei, big jaw, 20 minute lock jaw time...would definitely bite an intruder... But to see her with us and the kids you would think she is the cutest, cuddliest beasty on the planet and thats because she is. No such thing as bad dogs, just dick head owners.

    Antagonist Motivations

I disagree with you. His powers are unlimited which makes him utterly formidable. Think about it, for most other villains once you find their limits, you basically have them, with Moriarty, he will of course have limits but they are far from being touched. Meaning that beating him cannot be...

    Antagonist Motivations

wow...nobody has said it yet....ok here we go.... Moriarty!!!! Intelligent, well connected, and completely unwilling to forgive. Moriarty will go down in the bad mans world as the ultimate bad ass!!! He has style. Further he is not limited by anything. Whatever he wants to do he has the...

    Marillion & Early Crowdsourcing

Interestingly enough Virgin Records did the same. There is a clip where Richard Branson explains how the bank pulled the plug on him at one point, so he rung everyone he knew plus all of their customers etc, and overnight raised the money to keep the business going.

My (ahem) version of The Empire Strikes Back.

I just think that you guys risk pissing off potential viewers/fans of your work by discussing your personal political thoughts. Somebody once said "never discuss Religion, or Politics at the dinner table" I think they were right. Ah well, I'm not trying to stop you, if you want to continue I...

"There are 2 ways to shoot a scene and 1 of them is wrong."

What made the shot look bad? Was it colour? Exposure? Bad film quality? The actors? Position of camera? Movement of camera? Shadows? Did the lens show too much or not enough of what you wanted to see? Only one of these, being the position of the camera would suggest your head was wrong.
