    New to indietalk. Simple question

Dude, I believe that only vocational feelings can keep you on this way when this way becomes hard, or when you fight against tough times. Because it's not a common profession. Filmmaking is a strange sum of arts, where you put your consciousness in each one to tell not only a story, but...

Tips on filming with real rain.

Thanks. I'm really afraid about this. I'm not sure anymore if I truly want to shoot with rain. I mean, I want, but it's my first directing. Well, let's think a little more.

    Info about this lens

If you need wide angle for GH2/GH3, I strongly recommend the Noktor 12mm 1.6.

Tips on filming with real rain.

Actually, I forgot to mention that the film has just a few dialogues, so I only need to record a medium quality reference in order to loop it on studio for make ADR's. I believe a good lav mic under the clothes can provide me this reference, what do you think?

Tips on filming with real rain.

Hello, so I'm finishing a screenplay - short film - and I would like to shoot it with real rain. Not only because it combines with the story, but it's on the most important street of the city and I want it empty of people. There is only one moment when it becomes desert: at night with rain...

    Ok, thanks. :)

Blackmagic Cinema Camera - Hands on

Yes, but do you think I would lose much quality after cropping the BMCC footage to transform a 3.55:1 into a 2.66:1?

Blackmagic Cinema Camera - Hands on

I have an Isco Cinelux 2x and use it on GH2, and would like to use on BCC. But I'm starting to feel that the 3.55:1 aspect is way larger than the audience eyes is willing to watch hehe. I like it, but the general public don't. But maybe I can crop the final result on BCC to get the 2.66:1...

Blackmagic Cinema Camera - Hands on

Ohh :/ I was really hoping for a 4:3 mode. Maybe in a future firmware update (or even a hack), as I noticed other users asking for it in the BCC forum. http://forum.blackmagicdesign.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=240 I dont know if the coming m4/3 mount BCC will change something on the sensor, but...

Blackmagic Cinema Camera - Hands on

Hello, can you tell me if the Blackmagic shoots in 4:3 aspect, in order to use anamorphic 2x lenses and get 2.66:1 footage?

    /// Shot by a GH1 or GH2

I made a short tribute to the victims of Santa Maria. It was based on scenes from a film that I directed about the main football club of our State - which said goodbye to it's home. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MoxoAzhqTuA&hd=1

editing Making a picture bring motion feel?

A lot of insightful tips, thank very much. I didn't answer because just happened a horrible tragedy next here, with many people killed inside a bar. I can't even think in my job now :/ http://edition.cnn.com/2013/01/27/world/americas/brazil-nightclub-fire/index.html?hpt=hp_t1

editing Making a picture bring motion feel?

Have you noticed when someone inserts a picture in the middle of a video, it's very different from a video. Even if the picture is about anything that could perfectly be static, you just know it's not a video. That's, until where I know, because a picture haven't the shutter printing motion to...

editing Making a picture bring motion feel?

There is a way to make a still image look like you shot a place with the camera fixed on tripod? I know it's a strange question, but the pictures inserted in a video don't have the shutter effect that the motion files have - for obvious reason, it's a picture. But there is some trick to make...

Copyright issues on naming a Studio.

Thank you guys! MetalRenard, yes, "filmes" means films/movies in portuguese. :)

Need your help with a lens decision.

If you want a sharp lens, maybe the Pana Leica Summilux 25mm 1.4 could be a good option.

Copyright issues on naming a Studio.

Thank you guys for the answers. This is not the true logo, but only an idea to inspire the professional designer who will develop the art. I had on mind to tell him "make it as close as possible to the game" but now I'm thinking about say "make it like people only recognize if I tell them"...

Copyright issues on naming a Studio.

Thanks Fiveacre, so as I'm not copying the name and the "look" of the game is not a trademark, it is something like from 0 to 10 of probability of having trouble, anything below 5? (not the best way to ask an opinion, but...)

Copyright issues on naming a Studio.

Hmm. Sounds bad. I was hoping hear something like this kind of use is not a copyright violation hehe. :/
