If I can impart nothing else ...

How would someone be liable for stuff I say? If John Doe robs a bank John Doe is liable, not some stranger on the web. Alex has been around a long time and it's not right that this should happen to him. If these thieves want to hassle me, that fine. I live in a cave in Tajikistan.

Got a link to the thieving filmmakers? They deserve to be trashed.

    /// Shot by a GH1 or GH2

I'm not a patch guru but...afaik, the patches all have their strength and weaknesses. Some are good in low light, some a extremely stable, some are good for slomo, it's a grab bag. 200mb/sec obviously will create huge files and there are stability issues, esp if you don't have a fast card. But...

The director of Snow White and the Huntsman never did a movie before!

I don't see music vids and feature films as a 1:1 thing. Music vids normally require some visual flair, but not necessarily a strong sense of narrative structure and rhythm. A feature director is dead without those instincts for narrative and if you've seen a Woody Allen movie, you know...

cinematography DSLR steadicam or shoulder mount?

You'll get far more usable footage with a decent shoulder rig.

Urgent ADVICES/suggestions for a screenplay deal.

I'll give you 25 million for it, sight unseen. I've made a lot of movies and have Bernie Lawson's cell number. Dievanchuk doesn't have my connections.

Might want to sandbag the base.

cinematography Is this shot lit well?

I don't likey. Nose shadow, shine on nose. It's harsh and looks "Lit". I'd also dim that light in the bg on the ceiling. It distracts.

cinematography OMG! FP in HD via GH2

Stop stalking me! You are not me, cannot be me, and never will be me. Gawd you're pathetic!

    Feeling paranoid?

I think in Hollywood they call it "Parallel development". And yeah, the conventional wisdom is it's usually not idea theft. Here's my anecdote. I had an amazing writing partner for a while, We were outlining a story together. She was actually a hemisphere away when this happened. Anyway, I get...

    Switching to an EVIL camera

I got the Panny. And this weekend it gave me a big fat headache. A close friend asked me to film her bro's wedding (unpaid). I'm not a wedding guy, so it was just a favor. It's stressful when the bridal procession starts, no take 2 right? So parents and flower girls are walking down the aisle...

    Switching to an EVIL camera

I use the same one as walk around. it's pretty good. No IS and focus could be faster but I like it and don't regret the purchase. There's also a 14-45mm that's pricier than the 14-42 but a lot better. And it's cheaper I think than the Oly.

    Switching to an EVIL camera

And once again we wade in to familiar water. Menus: yes they suck. Manual is also garbage Artifacting: Has a few banding issue, but generally produces extremely clean image. Color: a lot of people love the GH2 color. I like it a lot, Canon color often looks plasticky to my eyes. subjective...
