I have the Zoom H4N and Rode NTG-2 for outdoor use. It's okay but not great; as Alcove says, the pre-amps on the H4N are weak. The whole unit is not designed for recording film dialogue and expects a hotter mic input, far hotter than the NTG-2 delivers. You therefore get a lower signal to noise...

    Questioning concerning clothing in film

You have nothing to lose by asking your school's administration department what their take on it is. You can always try to alter the plot and spin it so that your school is made to look like they're making an effort to combat drug addiction or something. This approach might complement their own...

    4:34 Bonus Round!

Ah hell, £16, I'd only spend it beer. I think I'd already owe this forum about £200,000,000 in Film Maker's 101 courses ;)

    Am I being screwed here?

Weigh up your options. Monetarily, is it worth giving him creative control of post-production, rather than hiring an entertainment lawyer and attempting to scare or legally strong-arm him? Do the potential gains of you keeping producer credit outweigh potential losses of an unsuccessful lawsuit...

    Question about marketing a quadrilogy.

For some reason, the first that springs to mind for me is the end of the god-awful Masters of the Universe movie (1987) with Dolph Lundgren. After Skeletor is knocked into some pit at the end, you can wait until the credits have finished rolling and there's a shot where Skeletor's head pops out...

Unsubtle ^bump^ to say I'm taking the doc down tomorrow so last call for any feedback :D Also to say I'm hoping to be filming this in the autumn/fall; I'll probably be doing sound (cover your ears!) and we might even use proper actors who can act! (MBC and Aaron, sorry haven't been working on...

    logline Help with a logline.

Okay so we've got: (i) An innocent man suspected of murder (ii) attempts to clear his name while (iii) crooked cops (iv) bent on revenge (v) attempt to frame him and (vi) a battle of wits ensues. I'm finding it difficult to put all this in one coherent sentence! Perhaps a couple of elements...

If the evidence McGuffin is hooky enough it could work. All Indianna Jones movies start with a McGuffin. Can you tell us what it is, or would that be risky at this stage of development?

Not my sort of comedy, but I know people who would love this. Good luck in the festies.

The new type of evidence sounds like a McGuffin, the driving force of your story seems to be the framing and revenge aspect. I'd go with what Aaron said.

    Sucessful Cinematic Web Series?

According to Wikipedia, The Guild has had over 45 million views on YouTube. I have no idea what that would translate to in terms of ad payments.
